Orson Scott Card

I didn't know Orson Scott Card was born in Richland, WA...and I didn't know he is a democrat. I do know that J-P loves him almost as much as Louis L'amour. Here is an interesting article he wrote. Thanks for posting it Whitney.

My cousin just posted this article, but when I read it, I had no idea he was a Democrat. That makes it a little more interesting! And I had no idea he was born in Richland, either. Crazy! (I do know he's Stephenie Meyer's idol.)

I am not sure I will remember to get on tomorrow, so I wanted to write and tell you happy birthday! I have always loved and admired you. YOu always make life fun, interesting, and always have the ability to make everyone laugh.
I know you are a great mom, and I hope you have a great day with your family!
Thanks for getting me through childhood/adolesence. Couldn't have done it without you.

Interestng article. Thanks for sharing! It is quite interesting that he is a Democrat and still wrote that article. My friend and I were just talking about how slanted the news is now.

Okay, I have to tell you my connection to Orson Scott Card: I worked for his sister Janice in the Children's Book section of the BYU Bookstore! Very interesting family, I'll tell ya that. I really like his books. The Alvin Maker series is great and really gets the brain cells going! Can't wait to read his article...

His daughter and niece were in the SM3rd ward with me for years. I saw a play he'd written and he had a Q&A session with the audience afterward. Very cool!
