He spends most of the day yelling at it.
When we were finished with the cut J-P said "ok, go get a plastic bag." When I asked why, he responded that you have to save the hair from their first haircut as a keepsake. I immediately started gagging (probably some lingering morning sickness) at the thought of saving hair in a plastic bag. Yuck! Does anyone else do this?

Max is stylin' with his new haircut. He also looks a lot older with the shorter hair. I'm 100% with you --saving baby hair for years and years is rather disgusting. I know many people disagree with me, but oh well.
OK, The Warrens here must be disgusting people, because we have a little ziploc bag with Abby's first bang haircut that we gave her a few months back. Call us crazy, but we're sentimental.
We've kept hair from both Lily's and Oscar's first cuts. I thought it interesting but I'm glad that we did for a little memory of what their hair was like at the time. I think its okay.

i love the haircut. Yes, I have some hair from first haircut saved in a baby book. It was angelic fine, blond baby hair. Its fun to have but its not all that telling about what i was like at that age or anything. i think its not a necessary keepsake but kind of fun. Love your blog!
J-P won that battle and we did keep a tiny bit of hair in a bag. I'm not sure how long we will store it, but I'm warming up to the idea.
I love little boys with new haircuts, I just HATE to do it, too much complaining. Natasha
ps, after the milk blog, I think I would like to hear what you have to say about high fructose corn syrup that seems to be in everything!
Funny you say that, I've been meaning to do a blog on corn and how it's in everything we eat. I'll have to finish reading the book I got about it from the library first. I know, I'm a nerd.
Literally everything. Even pretzel sticks, except for the Rold Gold Honey Wheat ones...I think they taste better any way. Does TJ's carry items that have HFCS?
I don't think so. They carry a lot of stuff with "evaporated cane juice" which is supposed to be a more natural sugar. The reason they use HFCS instead of sugar is because it's way, way cheaper. Corn is the cheapest commodity in the agricultural world, because of this scientists have figured out how to make just about anything out of corn. I'll blog about it soon.
I am all about saving the baby hair from the first cut, but you know me and my "sentimental value." I even have hair in my baby book from when I was a baby and as a kid I loved to look at it and know something about when I was a baby. Max looks way cute with the haircut and I love the "yelling at the dog" picture.
